Kids on the Move
Come join Kids on the Move and participate in a variety of games, sports, group discussions, arts and crafts, exercise, and lots of fun. It is a drop-in program for children ages 8-14. The program is scheduled Monday - Wednesday from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Highlands Community Center. It runs from December 5, 2011 - June 13, 2012. You must register at the Community Center. White Tiger Tae Kwon Do (Children and Adult)
White Tiger Tae Kwon Do will be offering weekly classes on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at the R.D. Wilson Memorial Community Center. This program is conducted by John Diahy, founder and a 5th Degree Black Belt. Fee is $55.00 per month (ages 7 to 15), $75.00 per month (16 to adult). Highlands Senior Citizen Group Bingo / Pizza Lunch
The Highlands Senior Citizen Group will have its bingo and pizza lunch on the third Thursday monthly, starting at 12:00 noon at the Community Center. You must register in advance for lunch.
Teen Night
The Highlands / Atlantic Highlands Municipal Alliance and the Highlands Recreation Department presents High School Teen Night for ages 14-18. It will be held on Friday, May 25th from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm at the Highlands Community Center. Pizza and soda will be served. For more information, contact Heather DiBlasi at 732-872-1843.
Summer Kidfest Registration
The Borough of Highlands Recreation Department will be starting their Summer Kidfest Registration on May 14th at the Community Center. This drop-in program for ages 6-14 will be held from July 2nd to August 17th from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday - Friday. The program is open to residents of Highlands, NJ and operates at the R.D. Wilson Memorial Community Center and the Snug Harbor Park / Beach facility. Summer Kidfest includes a daily nutritious breakfast and lunch, games, sports, weekly tournaments, special events, trips, and arts & crafts. Please register by June 15th! Summer Seasonal Positions Available
The Borough of Highlands Recreation Department is now accepting applications for Part Time Summer Seasonal positions. Positions include Summer Recreation Supervisors, Programmers, Aides, Kitchen Staff, and Lifeguards. Lifeguards must have all their certifications current and up to date.
